The Event

 

One of Britain's biggest Bus Rallies & Running Days with a display of around 150 Buses and Coaches of all shapes and sizes from a variety of eras and operating areas.

 

Entry to the event is FREE.

 

An extensive network of FREE Bus Services operating from Anstey Park to Alton Town Centre and Railway Station, Medstead & Four Marks Railway Station and surrounding villages and towns. These services are based on the routes operated by Aldershot & District, Alder Valley, Hants & Dorset, Southdown, Wilts & Dorset and other local independent operators in the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's.

 

A large display of other types of vehicles including Classic Cars, Lorries, Motorcycles, Vans, Emergency Services and Military vehicles.

 

A programme containing full details of all the FREE bus services and details of the vehicles on display will be available to purchase on the day from the rally site at Anstey Park and from Alton Station.

 

A large selection of sales stands selling a wide variety of transport related items at Anstey Park.

 

A variety of catering outlets selling hot and cold food and drinks on site at Anstey Park.

 

Toilets on site at Anstey Park. Toilets are also available at Alton station, Medstead & Four Marks station and in Turk Street car park (opposite Sainsbury's) in Alton town centre.

 

Travelling to the event

 

FREE parking at Anstey Park for hundreds of cars, car park open 9am to 6pm.

 

FREE frequent bus service between Alton Station and Anstey Park, connecting with trains from / to London Waterloo and Alresford.

 

FREE feeder bus services to Alton from Basingstoke, Fareham, Winchester, Guildford, Aldershot and Farnham.*

The Mid Hants Railway 'Watercress Line' will be operating an intensive train service between Alton and Alresford using both steam and heritage diesel traction.

 

Hop on board a FREE bus to visit the railway and experience steam travel, step back in time at this living history railway.

 

Explore the authentic stations along the way, including the locomotive yard at Ropley where you can get up close to the engines and see restoration work underway.

 

Frequent FREE bus services link Anstey Park with Alton and Medstead & Four Marks stations.

 

Train travel tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day from the rally site or at any of their stations.
